Ten Paces and Draw

The idea behind Ten Paces and Draw is for illustrators to finish a sketch made by another illustrator. Every week has a different theme. Selected illustrators all over the world make a sketch fitting that theme. Then another illustrator makes that sketch into a finished illustration.

I made two small artwork pieces (5″x7″ / 12,7cm x 17,8cm) for Gallery Nucleus. They are for sale for $50 a piece and that money goes to the World Wildlife Fund.
Watercolour, gouache and gold acrylics on 300 gr Canson paper.

For promotional use I created 4 characters I had in the back of my mind for a long time. I want to create stories with them one day, but for now I only use them on promotional stuff, like badges.

iPhone & iPad wallpapers

I got commissioned by Poolga.com to make two iPhone and iPad wallpapers.
I was entirely free to pick a theme. I choose the sea as my theme, one with a fisherman and one with a sea nimph. The text in the illustration are lines from a poem by Alfred Lord Tennyson called ‘Break, break, break’.
